crimson and plover, over and over

Can you be in love with an organic Euro Sham?

The answer is, yes, yes you can!! If you check out www.ploverorganic.com you will see what I am talking about. This blue sham made my day. I started envisioning many of these Blue Geo/Blue Dot pillows tossed throughout the Savin Family Eco Home.

I recently discovered Plover organics and was intrigued by the unique low impact dyes and design. What is a Plover? Well after reading on their site, I learned, The Plover is a short-billed shorebird that has been a cherished inspiration in the arts for centuries. Plovers now also symbolize the conflict between the natural world and coastal land use and development, their numbers are dwindling due to human interference. The cotton in Plover’s organic linens comes from non-genetically engineered seeds grown in soil that is free of pesticides, herbicides or other cytotoxins. Plover strives to keep poisons out of the ecosystem and in the beds we sleep in. They use a hydrogen peroxide bleaching process and only low-impact, fiber reactive dyes.

Here are some bed designs, that are so unique to this industry. Teal seems to be the design color of 2011, and all of these collections use it beautifully. These collections have me singing “crimson and plover, over and over!”
